Out with the old, in with the new!<\/p>\n<p>What a way for this real estate agent to earn that tidy commission! Let\u2019s do the math: $63 million in real estate bought and sold. That\u2019s roughly <strong>$3.78 million in commission that changed hands<\/strong>. Impressive numbers for any brokerage.<\/p>\n<p>So, what exactly does one get in Florida when they double their home value a couple of miles down the same street?<\/p>\n<p>For starters, it\u2019s quite a hefty size increase. The old house was a mere 5,000 square feet, barely enough to store all of Bon Jovi\u2019s gold and platinum records. And yes, his 2006 Grammy for the seemingly made-up category Best Country Collaboration with Vocals. Where\u2019s the Oscar love, Academy? \u201cBlaze of Glory\u201d is an amazing song! No one even remembers \u201cSooner or Later\u201d from the <em>Dick Tracy<\/em> soundtrack. Yeesh!<\/p>\n<p>My point is, the Bongiovis (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biography.com\/musician\/jon-bon-jovi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">look it up!<\/a>) have outgrown their space, and it\u2019s time to upsize.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s more than enough extra capacity in the new <strong>13,000-square-foot residence<\/strong>. While he once had only five bedrooms, he now has seven. Finally! Maybe Richie Sambora won\u2019t have to sleep on the couch when visiting. (Richie! We miss you!)<\/p>\n<p>The property also adds two full baths and two partial bathrooms, which is important because\u2026you know\u2026teenagers. Can you ever really have enough bathrooms? No, you cannot. Seriously, how long does it take in there?<\/p>\n<p>Also, how many homes do you really need? Don\u2019t Jon and his family still have an unassuming little property back in the Garden State? As much as I\u2019m looking forward to some new Bon Jovi material, I\u2019m not a fan of the new album title \u2014 <strong>2020<\/strong>. Ugh. I think the last thing any of us need is a reminder of the longest year in history. When I finally throw out my calendar in January, I never want to think about 2020 again.<\/p>\n<p>But I get it. These mansions don\u2019t come cheap. There are bills to pay!<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019d love to see a new tour, but I don\u2019t imagine that\u2019ll be happening anytime soon. Thanks for nothing, COVID-19. You\u2019ve <a href=\"https:\/\/propertyonion.com\/education\/covid-19s-effect-on-the-housing-market\/\" target=\"_blank\">robbed us of so many things in 2020<\/a>, but you can\u2019t take away my memories of the best performance I\u2019ve ever attended.
