You will need to contact the clerk of court. I have never heard of anyone losing their deposit with the county in the last 15 years. I am guessing you are just logged into another account.
Hey Nate, that never happened to me specifically, but I’ve had other issues related to funds in the account. It could be a problem with how the funds or your account are showing on the site, or even just a glitch on the web frontend. Keep in mind that Hillsborough County runs their auctions through RealAuction, and they have a “Contact Us” tab on the upper right corner of the page.
In my experience, Real Auction Contact Center were always very professional and responsive. If it’s a technical issue, they usually get back quickly and sort it out. If the problem is on the county’s side, I’d first check whether the funds were returned due to any error or failed verification. If they weren’t, definitely reach out to them.
Don’t stress too much, County Clerks operate under strict compliance rules when it comes to handling funds. Every time I’ve had a concern, it was handled efficiently and with courtesy.
