How to find someone to check on a house

I live in California and am interested in buying some houses in Florida or Texas through tax deed sales. How can I find someone reliable to check on the exterior of a house for me and to take some photos? I would appreciate any suggestion. Thanks

There's a few way to do this.

  1. Find a local investor friendly agent. Let them know you are looking for some "boots on the ground" to take pics to help you with the auction, and be sure to add once purchased you would need them to list to flip it.

  2. You can hire a property due diligence company that takes pictures like WeGolook.com. WeGoLook generally charges around $69 for a standard property inspection and photo report, while individual freelance "Lookers" who perform the task typically get paid between $15 and $30 per basic assignment.

  3. You can pair up with a local investor and split deals, your money, his legwork done locally on the whole project.

  4. Uber drivers, years ago I hired uber drivers to do this, not sure if you still can, but I paid them $6 per house.

Hope that helps!
